Who we are
My name is Caleb Holtschlag I’m a manufacturing and process engineer currently working as an Operations Manager, with hands-on experience designing, fixing, and scaling real production systems—not just modeling them on paper.
My day-to-day role puts me directly accountable for output, quality, labor, and delivery, which shapes how I approach engineering work. I understand the operational pressure of keeping lines running while improving performance, and I design solutions that balance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Over the past several years, I’ve worked inside high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environments, supporting assembly lines, fabrication cells, powder coat operations, material flow, and packaging. My background spans lean manufacturing, process optimization, PFMEA, time studies, line balancing, layout redesign, and data-driven decision making.
What sets my work apart is a strong bias toward practical execution. I don’t deliver theoretical improvements that look good in a slide deck but fall apart on the shop floor. I focus on solutions operators can run, supervisors can sustain, and leadership can justify with clear ROI.
As a fractional engineer, I partner with manufacturers who need experienced engineering support without the overhead of a full-time hire. I step in to stabilize processes, eliminate waste, improve throughput, and build systems that scale—whether that’s cleaning up material flow, implementing kanban and heijunka, strengthening quality controls, or supporting capital and continuous improvement initiatives.
I work best alongside operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams—translating problems into clear actions and measurable results.
